Saturday's Powerball jackpot climbs to $124,000,000; One player won the second prize

The lottery official announced that the Wednesday, January 7th, 2026, POWERBALL's drawing resulted in a carry over, creating a $124,000,000 grand prize for the next drawing Saturday. The cash value will be a projected $$56 million. The winning numbers from Wednesday, January 7th, 2026 drawing were 15-28-57-58-63 with Power Ball number 23.
While there was no grand prize winner Wednesday evening, Powerball had some big winners. There was a sole 2nd prize winner from Wednesday night's Powerball drawing, matching all five numbers but not the Powerball number. The 1 second prize ticket(s) from DE matched all 5 white ball numbers and also chose Power Play, which doubled the prize to $2,000,000 cash win!
Additional major winners Wednesday evening included 10 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 3 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash!
With 9 different prize levels, there were a total of 418,245 tickets nationwide won $0 prizes in the Wednesday, January 7th, 2026 drawing.
America's favorite Powerball game is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. The minimum Powerball jackpot is $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 graduated installments in 29 years. Winners may select one lump-sum cash payout option instead.
