No jackpot winning ticket sold. Wednesday's Powerball jackpot increases to $105,000,000

The Powerball multi-state lottery grand prize climbed to $105,000,000 (cash value $$47.4 million) Wednesday night when there were no jackpot winners in the $86,000,000 drawing, lottery officials said. The numbers from Monday, January 5th, 2026 drawing were 04, 18, 24, 51, 56 and Powerball number was 14.
While there was no jackpot winner Monday evening, some people still walked away with large winnings. There were a total of 10 third prize winning tickets with or without Power Play. These included 7 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000.
Other winners Monday night included 171 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers and won $100. 60 additional players not just matched 4 white ball, but additionally bought the Power Play option, double the winnings to a total win of $200 each! Other prizes won Monday evening included 499 tickets that matched 3 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $100. 162 additional tickets of this prize level were also purchased with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash.
There were 27,619 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There was one lucky New York winner matched 4 lotto numbers and also the Powerball and won $10,000. 67 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will receive $100 each. 7 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will collect $200 each.
With nine prize levels, there were a total of 353,733 tickets across the nation won $0 prizes in the Monday, January 5th, 2026 drawing.
Powerball is an American popular lottery game offered in 44 member states as a shared jackpot game. Powerball uses a 5/69 (white balls) + 1/26 (Powerballs) matrix from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $2.
