Saturday's Powerball jackpot rolls up to $248,000,000; One ticket won the second prize

The grand prize in America's favorite Powerball lottery game continues to climb exciting players all across the nation. Because no one correctly matched all six winning numbers in Saturday's drawing the grand prize will jump to an estimated $248,000,000! The cash option will be an estimated $$122.5 million. The winning numbers from Wednesday, February 7th, 2024 drawing were 12-21-62-67-69 and Powerball number was 17.
While there was no jackpot winner Wednesday evening, some players still walked away with big money. There was a single second prize winner from Wednesday night's drawing, matching the first 5 lotto numbers but not the Powerball number. The one second prize winning ticket(s) sold in Georgia will collect $1 million cash.
In addition, 5 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. There were 6 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! In addition, 184 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 87 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to a total win of $200 each! Other prizes won Wednesday night included 496 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $100. 195 additional tickets of this prize level were also bought with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash.
With nine different prize tiers, there were 454,937 tickets nationwide won $0 prizes in the Wednesday, February 7th, 2024 drawing.
America's favorite Powerball game is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings are held 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay $1 extra to buy the Power Play option, which multiplies the original prizes but not jackpot. The minimum Powerball advertised jackpot is $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated installments in 29 years. Winners may choose one time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
