Powerball jackpot rises to $42 million Wednesday; One ticket won the second prize

The Powerball game jackpot is on the move again. The grand prize for the Wednesday, February 10th, 2021 drawing climbs to $42 million with the lump-sum cash payout of a projected $31 million. The numbers from Saturday, February 6th, 2021 drawing were 01, 16, 48, 49, 65 and Powerball number was 08. The Powerball grand prize has been rolling over for 103 draws since Saturday, February 15th, 2020. The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in Michigan, matched all six numbers for a $70.00 million top prize.
While the grand prize was not hit Saturday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There was only one lucky player that matched all 5 white ball numbers and won the second prize. The one lucky ticket(s) bought in North Carolina, each won $1 million cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Other major winners Saturday evening included 13 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. Additional prizes won Saturday night included 207 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 95 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash! 590 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 187 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to win a total win of $200 each.
With nine different prize levels, there were 553,438 tickets nationwide won a total of $0 prizes in the Saturday, February 6th, 2021 drawing.
Powerball is one of the most popular lottery games in the U.S. offered in 44 member states as a shared jackpot game. Powerball drawings occur every Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend $1 extra to buy the Power Play, which increases the winnings except grand prize. The minimum Powerball advertised grand prize starts at $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated payments in 29 years. Winners may choose one time lump sum cash payout instead.
