The grand prize in the Powerball multistate lottery game keeps increasing and is going to be up to an estimated $163,000,000 for the next drawing on Monday. The cash value stands at a projected $$73.9 million. The amount was rolled over since no player matched all 6 numbers to win the $145,000,000 jackpot Saturday night. The winning numbers from Saturday night, December 28th, 2024 were 06-31-51-54-55 with Power Ball number 12. No one won the Powerball jackpot in the past 9 draws since Monday, December 9th, 2024. A single lucky player from NY won the 260,000,000 grand prize in Saturday, December 7th, 2024 drawing.
Although there was no grand prize winner Saturday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. A total of 18 lucky tickets won the third prize. These included 18 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000.
In addition, 384 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 122 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to a total win of $200 each! 981 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 302 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to win a total win of $200 each.
There were 63,858 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. One ticket sold in New York matched 4 white ball numbers and also the Powerball. The lucky ticket holder will collect $10,000 cash. 122 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will collect $100 each. There were 15 lucky New Yorkers won $200 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play purchased.
With nine different ways to win, the Saturday night's drawing generated 825,479 winning tickets across U.S. with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball is one of the most popular lottery games in the U.S. can be played in 44 member states as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. Each play costs $2.
