Massive Powerball jackpot up for grabs Saturday night

The Powerball grand prize has been pumped up to an estimated $620,000,000 (cash option $$310.8 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Saturday night. The jackpot amount has been rolled over since nobody matched all six winning numbers to take the $572,000,000 grand prize Wednesday night. The numbers from Wednesday, December 20th, 2023 drawing were 27, 35, 41, 56, 60 and Powerball number was 16.
Though the grand prize was not awarded Wednesday evening, some players still walked away with huge pile of cash. There were 5 lucky players that correctly matched all 5 white ball numbers and won the 2nd prize. The 2 second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in Kentucky(1) and Rhode Island(1) won $1 million cash. The other three second prize winner(s) from Colorado(1), Kentucky(1) and Virginia(1) also chose Power Play, which doubled the prize to $2,000,000 cash win!
In addition, 17 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. There were 8 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
There were 73,285 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There was a lucky New York player matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. There were 152 lucky New York players won $100 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers. 23 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will receive $200 each.
With 9 different prize tiers, the Wednesday night's drawing generated 880,954 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.
