Saturday's Powerball jackpot breaks to $88,000,000; One second prize ticket sold

Saturday's Powerball game grand prize grew to $88,000,000, since no one matched all six winning numbers drawn Wednesday night. The lump-sum cash payout for Saturday stands at a projected $$41 million. Wednesday's $69,000,000 is the total payout - before taxes - if the prize is taken in annual installments. The numbers drawn Wednesday night, December 18th, 2024 were 06, 15, 18, 33, 49 and Powerball was 07.
Though the grand prize was not awarded Wednesday evening, some people still walked away with large winnings. There was a sole lucky ticket matched the first 5 numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize. The 1 lucky ticket(s) bought in CA, each won $1 million cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
In addition, 14 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. There were 2 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
