Powerball jackpot moves to $477,000,000; 1 second prize ticket sold

The grand prize in the Powerball multi-state lottery game has been increased to $477,000,000. The cash value stands at $$229.7 million. The prize amount was rolled over because no player hit all 6 winning numbers in Saturday's $468,000,000 drawing. The next Powerball drawing is Monday night. The winning numbers from Saturday, December 9th, 2023 drawing were 05, 25, 26, 40, 60 and Powerball was 01.
Though there was no jackpot winner Saturday evening, Powerball had some big winners. There was only one lucky player that matched all five white ball numbers and won the second prize. The one lucky ticket(s) purchased in New York, each won 1 million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
In addition, 15 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. There were 1 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Additional prizes won Saturday evening included 429 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 121 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash! Other prizes won Saturday night included 1120 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $100. 311 additional tickets at this prize level were also bought with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash.
There were 66,183 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. The lucky New York ticket won the second prize was sold from . There were two lucky New York players matched 4 white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. 135 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will receive $100 each. There were 25 lucky New Yorkers won $200 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play purchased.
