One single winner from NY scored $260,000,000 jackpot from the Powerball drawing Saturday night

Somebody in NY has become really rich. One of the tickets sold in the state for Saturday night's Powerball matched all six winning numbers drawn. The lucky player matching all five winning numbers plus the Powerball won the $260,000,000 jackpot. The numbers from Saturday night, December 7th, 2024 were 01-31-43-55-57 with Power Ball 22. The winner can take a cash option worth $123 million before taxes, or decide to receive 29-year, 30-installment annuity option. The winning ticket holder is highly suggested to sign the ticket, put it in a secure place and contact lottery officials as soon as possible. Jackpot winner has the chance to select the cash value of the jackpot while claimng the prizes. If the winner doesn't make choice, the payment option will revert to annuity by default.
