Powerball jackpot rolls up to $1,100,000,000 Monday night; Twelve second prize tickets sold

The Powerball lottery jackpot has jumped up to a projected $1,100,000,000 (cash value $$498.4 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Monday night. The grand prize amount has been carried over because no player hit all 5 lotto numbers plus the Powerball number to take the $1,000,000,000 grand prize Saturday night. The winning numbers drawn Saturday night, August 30th, 2025 were 03, 18, 22, 27, 33 with Power Ball number 17. The Powerball grand prize has been growing for 39 draws since Monday, June 2nd, 2025. One lucky player from CA walked away with 207,000,000 grand prize in Saturday, May 31st, 2025 drawing.
Even though the jackpot was not hit Saturday evening, some people still walked away with big money. There were twelve lucky winners correctly matched all five white ball numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the 2nd prize. The nine second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in CA(4), CT(1), FL(1), IL(1), MA(1) and PA(1) will collect 1 million dollar cash. The other 3 second prize winner(s) from CO(1), IN(1) and NH(1) also bought Power Play, which doubled the prize to $2 million cash win!
Also, 115 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. There were 27 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
There were 342,838 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were nine lucky New Yorkers matched 4 white ball numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $10,000. Nine tickets sold in New York matched 4 lotto numbers plus the Powerball with Power Play option purchased. These lucky ticket holders will collect $40,000 cash each. 835 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will collect $100 each. 116 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will collect $200 each.
With 9 different prize levels, the Saturday night's drawing produced 4,749,138 winning tickets across U.S. with a total amount of $0 prizes.
