Saturday's Powerball jackpot rolls up to $69,000,000; Two second prize tickets sold

The lottery official announced that the Wednesday, August 28th, 2024, POWERBALL's drawing resulted in a carry over, producing a $69,000,000 jackpot for the next drawing Saturday. The cash value will be an estimated $$34.3 million. The winning numbers from Wednesday, August 28th, 2024 drawing were 05-33-47-50-64 and Powerball number was 20.
Although the jackpot was not awarded Wednesday evening, some players still walked away with huge prizes. There were two lucky winners correctly matched the first five numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in GA won $1,000,000 cash. The other 1 second prize winner(s) from WI also bought Power Play, which doubled the prize to $2 million cash win!
Additional major winners Wednesday evening included 7 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. There were 2 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
There were 23,105 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. A single ticket sold in New York matched 4 lotto numbers and also the Powerball. The lucky ticket holder will receive $10,000 cash. 47 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers.
