Powerball jackpot leaps to $44,000,000 Monday, August 26th, 2024; 2 players won the second prize

The multi-state Powerball grand prize has jumped to an estimated $44,000,000 dollars after there was no jackpot winner in Saturday's drawing. The cash option stands at an estimated $$21.9 million. The winning numbers from Saturday, August 24th, 2024 drawing were 05, 15, 21, 24, 43 and Powerball was 17.
While the jackpot was not hit Saturday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There were 2 lucky winners correctly matched the first 5 numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize. The 2 lucky ticket(s) sold in MI(1) and WA(1), each won 1 million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Also, 11 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 8 additional players not just matched 4+1, and also bought the Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
