The jackpot for Monday's Powerball drawing skyrockets to $501,000,000

Without a big winner in the last drawing, the Powerball multistate lottery game has carried over the grand prize to $501,000,000 for Monday night's drawing. The cash value will be a projected $$229.5 million. No one hit all five lotto numbers and the Powerball number to win the $482,000,000 grand prize Saturday. The next Powerball drawing will be at 10:59 PM Monday night. The winning numbers from Saturday night, August 9th, 2025 were 07, 14, 23, 24, 60 with Power Ball 14. The Powerball grand prize has been growing for 30 draws since Monday, June 2nd, 2025. The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in CA, matched all six numbers for a 207,000,000 top prize.
Though the jackpot was not awarded Saturday evening, some players still walked away with huge prizes. There was only one lucky winner correctly matched the first 5 numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) bought in IL will collect $1 million cash.
Other prizes won Saturday night included 28 tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. 9 additional players not only matched 4+1, but in addition chose the Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Other winners Saturday evening included 500 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers and won $100. 146 additional players not only matched 4 white ball, and also bought the Power Play option, double the winnings to a total win of $200 each! 1253 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 420 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to win a total win of $200 each.
There were 62,892 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. 6 tickets sold in New York matched 4 lotto numbers as well as the Powerball. These lucky ticket holders will collect $10,000 cash each. 157 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will collect $100 each. 34 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will receive $200 each.
With nine different prize levels, there were a total of 843,922 tickets nationwide won a total of $0 prizes in the Saturday, August 9th, 2025 drawing.
America's favorite Powerball can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. The overall odds of winning any prizes is about 1 to 32. The odds of winning Powerball grand prize are about 1 in 292 million. The minimum Powerball advertised jackpot starts at $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments in 29 years. Winners may select one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
