Saturday's Powerball jackpot rolls up to $98,000,000; One ticket won the second prize

There were no Powerball grand prize winners for Wednesday's $78,000,000 dollar drawing, so the grand prize will jump to a projected $98,000,000 with the cash option at a projected $$45.8 million Saturday, April 20th, 2024. The numbers drawn Wednesday night, April 17th, 2024 were 24-29-44-47-54 with Power Ball number 02.
Though the jackpot was not awarded Wednesday evening, Powerball had some big winners. There was a single lucky ticket correctly matched the first 5 numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in AZ won $1 million cash.
In addition, 3 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 1 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash! In addition, 158 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 72 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to a total win of $200 each! Powerball is an American popular lottery game offered in 44 member states as a pari-mutuel jackpot game.
