Saturday's Powerball jackpot moves to $79 million; 1 second prize ticket sold

There was no ticket sold hit all 6 winning numbers in the latest multi-state Powerball draw, and the projected grand prize for Saturday's drawing will rise to $79 million, lottery officials announced. The cash value will be $54.2 million. The winning numbers from Wednesday, April 14th, 2021 drawing were 13, 30, 33, 45, 61 with Power Ball number 14. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 122 draws since Saturday, February 15th, 2020. One lucky winner from Michigan won the $70.00 million top prize in Wednesday, February 12th, 2020 drawing.
Though there was no grand prize winner Wednesday evening, some players still walked away with large winnings. There was a single 2nd prize winner from Wednesday night's Powerball drawing, matching the first five numbers but not the Powerball number. The one second prize winning ticket(s) bought in New York will collect $1,000,000 cash.
Additional major winners Wednesday night included 14 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. 4 additional players not only matched 4+1, but in addition bought the Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Powerball lottery can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings occur 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
