Powerball jackpot climbs to $91 million Wednesday, October 21st, 2020; One ticket won the second prize

The Powerball lottery grand prize is on the move again. The jackpot for the Wednesday, October 21st, 2020 drawing jumps to $91 million with the lump-sum cash payout of an estimated $72 million. The winning numbers drawn Saturday night, October 17th, 2020 were 06, 10, 31, 37, 44 with Power Ball 23. The Powerball jackpot has been rolling over for 71 draws since Saturday, February 15th, 2020. The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in Michigan, matched all six numbers for a $70.00 million top prize.
While there was no grand prize winner Saturday evening, some people still walked away with huge pile of cash. There was only one second prize winning ticket from Saturday night's drawing, matching the first five lotto numbers except the Powerball number. The 1 second prize ticket(s) from Puerto Rico matched all 5 white ball numbers and also purchased Power Play, which doubled the prize to $2 million cash win!
Additional prizes won Saturday evening included 5 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $10,000. 5 additional players not only matched 4+1, but in addition chose the Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
With nine different ways to win, there were a total of 469,691 tickets nationwide won a total of $0 prizes in the Saturday, October 17th, 2020 drawing.
Powerball is an American popular lottery game can be played in 44 member states as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. To play, choose 5 numbers from 1 to 69 then choose a Powerball number from 1 to 26. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay $1 extra to purchase the Power Play, which multiplies the prizes except jackpot. The minimum Powerball advertised jackpot is $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 graduated installments in 29 years. Winners may choose one lump sum cash payout option instead.
