Wednesday's Powerball jackpot breaks to $77 million; 1 second prize ticket sold

The jackpot in the Powerball multi-state lottery game has been increased to $77 million. The cash value will be $61.9 million. The prize amount was rolled over because no one matched all five lotto numbers and the Powerball number in Saturday's $68 million drawing. The next Powerball drawing is Wednesday night. The numbers from Saturday night, May 9th, 2020 were 12-18-42-48-65 and Powerball number was 19. The Powerball grand prize has been rolling over for 25 draws since Saturday, February 15th, 2020. The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in Michigan, matched all six numbers for a $70.00 million top prize.
Even though the jackpot was not awarded Saturday evening, some people still walked away with huge prizes. There was a single lucky winner matched the first five lotto numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize. The one ticket(s) in South Carolina matched all 5 white ball numbers with the Power Play for an incredible $2,000,000 cash win!
In addition, 6 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 1 additional players not only matched 4+1, but in addition bought the Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
There were 25,968 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. There were 2 lucky New York players matched 4 lotto numbers and also the Powerball and won $10,000.
