Big Powerball jackpot up for grabs Wednesday night

The Powerball lottery jackpot has been pumped up to an estimated 653,000,000 (lump-sum cash payout $350.5 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Wednesday night. The grand prize amount has been carried over because no player matched all five lotto numbers plus the Powerball number to take the 613,000,000 grand prize Monday night. The numbers drawn Monday night, January 30th, 2023 were 01-04-12-36-49 with Power Ball 05. The Powerball grand prize has been growing for 246 draws since Wednesday, June 16th, 2021. The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in , matched all six numbers for a $31.00 million top prize.
Although the grand prize was not hit Monday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There was a sole 2nd prize winner from Monday night's Powerball drawing, matching the first 5 numbers except the Powerball number. The 1 lucky ticket(s) sold in California, each won 1 million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Also, 29 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. There were 8 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! There were 179 lucky New Yorkers won $100 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers. 29 tickets were sold in the state of New York which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play.
