Powerball jackpot rises to $27 million Wednesday, January 12th, 2022; Four second prize tickets sold

There were no tickets sold with all six winning numbers in the last multi-state Powerball game draw, and the projected grand prize for Wednesday's drawing will roll up to $27 million, lottery officials announced. The cash option will be an estimated $18.7 million. The numbers from Monday night, January 10th, 2022 were 14-17-18-21-27 and Powerball number was 09. No one won the Powerball jackpot in the past 81 draws since Wednesday, June 16th, 2021. The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in , matched all six numbers for a $31.00 million top prize.
Although the jackpot was not awarded Monday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There were four lucky tickets matched the first five lotto numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize. The 3 second prize winning ticket(s) bought in New York(1) and Texas(2) will collect $1 million cash. The other 1 second prize winner(s) from Iowa also purchased Power Play, which doubled the prize to $2,000,000 cash win!
Additional prizes won Monday evening included 9 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. There were 6 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
There were 22,021 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of New York. The lucky New York ticket won the second prize was sold from . There was one lucky New York player matched 4 lotto numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $10,000. There were 78 lucky New York winners won $100 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers. There were 11 lucky New Yorkers won $200 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play purchased.
