Friday's Mega Millions grand prize is going to be worth a projected $178,000,000 (cash option $$79.6 million), since nobody hit all 6 winning numbers in Tuesday night's drawing. The winning numbers from Tuesday night, April 16th, 2024 were 21-26-36-44-59 with Mega Ball 02 and Megaplier x4.

Though there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, some people still walked away with huge pile of cash. A total of 12 lucky players won the third prize. These included 12 tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000.

Other prizes won Tuesday night included 277 tickets that matched 4 lotto numbers and won $500. 756 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.

With nine different ways to win, there were 1,184,386 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Tuesday, April 16th, 2024 drawing.

Mega Millions is an U.S. popular lottery game offered in 44 lottery jurisdictions as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. It holds the record largest jackpot in North American lottery history. Approximately 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back to the players through prizes. Around 15% goes to commission of retailers and lottery operation expenses. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize starts at 40 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly payments. Winners may choose one lump sum cash payout instead.
