Nobody won the jackpot last night. Friday's Mega Millions jackpot moves to $352 million

Without a big winner in the last drawing, the Mega Millions multistate lottery game has carried over its grand prize to $352 million for Friday night's drawing. The cash value stands at a projected $269.7 million up for grab. No player hit all six winning numbers to win the $330 million jackpot Tuesday. The next Mega Millions lottery drawing will be at 10:59 PM Friday night. The numbers drawn Tuesday night, December 22nd, 2020 were 29, 53, 56, 59, 67 with Mega Ball number 21 and Megaplier X2.

Though there was no grand prize winner Tuesday evening, some players still walked away with large winnings. A total of 21 lucky players won the third prize. Among them, 21 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.

Other prizes won Tuesday night included 486 tickets that matched four white numbers and won $500. Other prizes won included 1339 tickets that matched 3 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $200.

With nine prize levels, there were 1,952,348 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Tuesday, December 22nd, 2020 drawing.

Mega Millions is one of the most popular lottery games in the U.S. can be played in 44 member states as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. Around 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back for the players through prizes. About 15% is used to as commission of retailers and lottery operating costs. Roughly 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the participating states. Mega Millions uses a 5/70 (white balls) + 1/25 (Mega Balls) system to randomly pick winning numbers. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay $1 extra to buy the Megaplier option, which multiplies the prizes 2 to 5 times but not jackpot. The odds of winning is about 1 to 14. The odds of matching all six Mega Millions numbers are about 1 in 302 million. The minimum Mega Millions advertised jackpot is $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners may select one lump sum cash payout option instead.
