Mega Millions jackpot increases to $187 million Friday, December 24th, 2021; One second prize ticket sold

The projected jackpot for Tuesday night's drawing was $171 million. According to official Mega Millions, nobody hit every number and the grand prize leaped to an estimated $187 million. The cash option will be $134.3 million up for grab. The numbers drawn Tuesday night, December 21st, 2021 were 25-31-58-64-67 with Mega Ball 24 and Megaplier X3. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 853 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in Maryland, matched all six numbers for a $189 million top prize.
Though the jackpot was not hit Tuesday evening, some players still walked away with large winnings.
